This came from an idea that my friend had for a sci-fi movie about people in the future who can buy and sell sleep, and all that would go wrong because of it. I started with a free image of a man's face (could be Benedict Cumberbatch?) from pexels.com. I tried some of the techniques from chapter 4 to enhance the image of his face and make it more dramatic. I used a copy of the face image, added a color effect and the multiply effect, and offset it slightly from the original face image, to give it the effect of "seeing double" or a similar spooky effect. I added the image of the creepy hospital beds to be the background image. I wanted to crop just the face from the background it came on, but since the edges were blurry, I couldn't get a good cutout of just his face. So, instead, I placed the beds image on top of the face and just erased the background so that it all blended nicely together. I took the advice of my classmates, who said the 8-bit font was not great, and I agreed with them. I ended up using my Sherlock font because it looks really cool. I originally had a hard time with manipulating the text using the work paths, but I eventually figured it out. I used the effects per Carla's suggestion to enhance the look of the text. I think it turned out pretty cool!
